A Simple Pizza that can be Made at Home

- Ten grams of fresh yeast or opt for a seven gram dried yeast sachet
- Half a teaspoon of sugar
- 375 grams of Italian flour
- One tablespoon of olive oil
- Three balls of mozzarella
- Fresh basil leaves
- Three tablespoons of olive oil
- An onion
- One clove of crushed garlic
- 2 cans of 400 grams of Italian tomatoes, chopped
Method of preparation
You need to mix the sugar and the yeast with warm water, about 250 ml. Allow the mixture to sit for a period of ten minutes. Beat the flour with the yeast mixture for about ten minutes. Knead the mixture with oiled hands about five to ten minutes. Allow the kneaded dough to sit for a period of ten minutes. Add in more oil and flour and knead again. Cover with an oiled cloth and leave it in a warm place for about half an hour.
To make the sauce, add in the olive oil in a heated pan. Toss in garlic and cook the onions in it. Add in black pepper and sea salt and allow cooking for a minute or two. Add in the chopped tomatoes. Reduce the heat and allow the tomatoes to simmer. Once the simmering is done in twenty minutes, take it off the heat.
By now the dough will double in size. Put it on a floured surface. Knead into a soft but not too elastic form. Divide into six pieces and roll out the balls into round pieces. Heat the oven. Once the dough bases are rolled out spread the tomato sauce and then add in the cheese and any other toppings you desire. Cook each pizza base for a period of five to ten minutes.
