Strawberry Sangria Recipe
INGREDIENTS
For the Strawberry Syrup
- 2 cups of fresh strawberries sliced or chopped as you like it
- ½ cup of un-powdered sugar
- ½ cup of drinking water
For Strawberry Sangria
- 3 cups of fresh strawberries sliced or chopped as you like it
- 1 cup of fresh raspberries sliced or chopped as you like it
- 1 cup orange sliced or diced
- 1 cup of juice of orange
- ¼ cup of liqueur of orange (its optional)
- 1 bottle (750 ml) of White wine or rose wine or sparkling rose
- Strawberry syrup as per your taste
The strawberry sangria is a simple formula that joins a most loved product of summer with one of the periods most asked for wines. It is fabulous and will make a fantastic expansion to any late summer gathering.
DIRECTIONS
For the Strawberry Syrup
- Place a pan on medium hot flame. Then add sliced or chopped strawberries, un-powdered sugar along with some water. Stir it continuously or occasionally for about 10 min till the point that the mix gets a thick consistency and becomes juicier.
- Bring a bowl. Place a very fine cloth or mesh strainer or separator on top of the bowl. Now pour the prepared mixture into the bowl using the strainer. Strain all the juice as much as possible take help of a spoon or any flat surface to put pressure and squeeze the maximum out of it then place the syrup in the refrigerator and give it enough time to chill.
For Strawberry Sangria
- In a bowl place all the listed ingredients along with the strawberry syrup. Now mix them well till they combine, then put it in the refrigerator. Serve it chill with some ice on top.
TIPS
- The more time you keep the drink and the syrup in the refrigerator the more it will develop the taste, as the flavour of strawberries will enhance and will taste heavenly.
- Garnish it with slices of strawberries. For some extra crunch.
WARNING
Keep the proportion of the soda, wine, and strawberries correct, don’t let any of them overpower the drink.
